SIC JYM Youth Rally 2012! :D #Day1

The 9th to the 12th December is the bomb of the year, and I really glad to see many participants are being passionate about their faith and had so much fun! I seriously think that this camp is by far the best camp that I had ever participate, so I decided to go into detail for this event. Thanks to our awesome photographer, Edmund Yung for all these beautiful photos that I just wanted to share it here so much. ;)   You can look for him in Facebook because his photos are really nice to look at ;)

This youth rally is held in KKB, (Kuala Kubu Baru, not Kota Kinabalu xD), a ex-National Service campsite and now it's being open to rent for function and camps. The facilities there are top class for camps and it's really comfortable staying there. :)

Many of us went there one day earlier to set up the hall, clean up the place and run practices for the last time. Here are some of the faces that worked hard behind this event. ;)

SIC Youth Rally 2012 Working Team! :D
it's because of this bunch of people, my November and December became a lot more excited than it usual! ;)

In the afternoon around 4pm, we were actually having some deep prayer for the camp, and suddenly we were told that the participants are 2 minutes away from KKB, we all jumped off our seats and ran out to welcome all of them!

Many participants came with different emotions, some being forced to come, some wanted to come eagerly. They're all here in KKB! :)

Facilitators leading the participants to their home for this weekend :)

Terrance being the hyper one welcoming them to their home of the weekend! :)

After settling down at their respective dorms, it's Makan-Time!
This camp provides everyone a lot of food seriously, 6 meals are provided for each day so that everyone has the energy to carry out the exciting activities we had in store for them! :)

After eating and resting, we kick-start the Opening Night for Youth Rally with enthronement, we welcomed Jesus into our rally because this wonderful event would never be complete without Him with us here! :)  Afterthat, we welcomed participants from all over Malaysia and cheer for them! Follow up by interesting and interactive Ice breakers by the Outreach Team 2012, Praise and Worship session and a short session by out speaker Benedict Lo!
Here are some photos of the night! ;)

Enthronement, welcoming Jesus :)
A big group of people were waving flags, body worshiping and singing just to welcome Him into our presence :)

Afterthat, it's the eye-opening and entertaining icebreakers! :D
It consist of very very creative dances, meaningful mimes, interactive dances and skits! :D

One of my favourite dance in the whole Icebreakers! This is some robot move that they created themselves. Cool aye? ;)

Ice Breakers!
The duos with extremely different attitudes working together for the mission! haha

This 2 girls are in competition showing who's hands are capable of doing greater things, it's very fun to look at their interactions between each other. One is always happy when the other is being teased xD

A powerful mime showing the struggles choosing between God and Devil.

The Hookey-Pookey interactive dance! Looks like participants and the parents are enjoying the dance very much! ;)  Glad that everyone actually participated the dance and made the environment all hyped up for this rally!

The Opening Night was really an meaningful and entertaining night where a lot of the participants changed their perception towards the camp and broke the ice! :D    Many of them who are being forced to come didn't regret coming after that night!
Afterthat, everyone went to their own dorms and rest, to prepare themselves for the second day of the event! :)

December Highlights #1

1. Back to School! SMK Sri Sentosa!

My classmates and I went back to take our SPM cert, but the clerks are so busy and the place is messy too. So they did not even try to look for us. So we end up walking around school's new building and explore the place. The new place is seriously awesome and it will be so much more comfortable studying there!

We went back to our ex-class and took picture of it. haha

Everything looks clean and good, but when it comes to Sentosa's students' hands, I'm sure there will be colourful drawings everywhere in no time!

 Looks really big aye?

One of the things that caught my attention is the Music Room, because it has a good quality sound proof room which is far better than the previous one!  and I'm sure everybody can enjoy practicing choir in this room.

Another thing is the library, the library is 3 extended to a 3 storey place and it can accommodate more students and books now. It's also all air-conditioned and they have cushion chairs in library now!

The library looks a lot better than this picture, but a lot of the pictures are with my friends, so yea. this is the only one I have :/

The view from the lowest floor. This looks damn nice from the ground floor
So yea, all 3 blocks are inter-connected and now almost everything is in this new building now.
However, I really do now know how the prefects are going to chase the students down to assembly, it's freaking 10 storeys and they cannot hear anything even if they shout.  Since my sister is one of the prefects, wish you all goodluck! xD

2. Community Service Initiative (CSI) Volunteers

Congratulations to Taylor's CSI club for this huge success of creating a large mural by collecting over 17,000 recycled tin cans
When I first know about their attempt of breaking attempt of breaking a Malaysian record, I actually belittle them and thought that they won't success because it just seems too difficult to achieve. The process of making it takes a lot of time and effort, really respect this group of people of pull all these together and made it a success. :)  *salute*

setting up the First patch of the whole mural!

All these are made up of colourful cans, they glued them together and wired them up so that all the cans are able to stand on it's own. Never thought tin cans could be used this way. *double salute*

If you are wondering how this is done, watch the video Here!

There are a lot of things that I want to blog about in this December,
I will try my best to put it all up before 2013 comes. :)

Oh before I go, I want to share this with everyone who spends a lot of time on computer, it's really important and useful! :)

Computer users tend to sit hunchback and too near to the computer screen and it's not good for your body posture and eye s in a long run.  This sitting posture helps to maintain good body posture, good eye condition and so that you won't have any muscle aches. :)  Personally I find it quite useful.

Messed up

Recently I messed up my studies, I did not really put in effort in doing my assignments, not able to focus, constantly procrastinating, relying a lot of groupmates to finish up my work. Hopefully things will get better and I will be able to get back into study mode.

Dad, watch me! :p

I just old my dad about my dream as a motivational speaker, and what he told me was :
"You need to learn how to motivate and manage yourself before motivating other people!"
Challenge accepted la!

From today onwards, I am going to get rid of my bad time management!
I will take good care of my health, by having balance diet and regular exercise routines!
I will focus on my studies and make sure I accomplish all of them with flying colours!
I will make sure I can do the best in whatever that I am doing in Youth Rally 2012! :)

Whatever it is, bring in on to my face! I will take all the challenges positively and overcome whatever it comes into my way!

There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me!"
Dad, watch me! :p

November Highlights # PART 2

1. FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS NOMATTER WHAT! :D

Ever since young, I wanted to become the motivational speaker who motivate, inspire and give hope to others. Today is my first leap towards my dream!
My partner and me did our final presentation skills assignment, and our topic is to persuade our classmates to follow their dreams, in 10 minutes! We were very excited for it because we both chose a topic that we both love, which is to persuade our audience to follow their dreams!
Our parents suggested us to become en engineer, doctor or lawyer, but both of us decided to follow our dreams because we believe we will find our way out by doing what we want!

Besides that, both of us felt so much better when we shared our dreams to our classmates and we got some support from friends to follow our dreams too. One of my classmate even told me that she will invite me to be helper in some motivational talks if there are any! :)

The lecturer even ask us to post our video on Youtube so that she can show it to the degree students and tell them "even a Foundation student can pull it off!"  Really enjoyed the presentation and I am glad that I'm doing well in my assignments! haha This just made my day!

2. Never become over-confident

I am lucky to score good results for last semester, but unfortunately that made me become over-confident and I seriously underestimated the exam, and I did it moderately. I could have did so much better if I can focus on my studies. I really need to start taking studies seriously. :/

3. Going all out for Youth Rally 2012

The camp that we had prepared for the past 8 months are just 5 days away! I am really going all out for this camp because it means a lot to me, and I really want to see success in this rally. Recently I became the admin of Youth Rally FB event page and I am starting to love it la. Posting nice photos to count down and attract more people to come! Hope everything will go smoothly in His way! :D  5 MORE DAYS TILL RALLY!

4. MASKO  Production's Short Advertisemet is coming out really soon!
Hope it will turn out good and will be able to gain motivation and affirmation to bring us even further. ;) After doing some video production assignments, I really think that shooting videos are really challenging, but that just made me like it even more, it's just so fun la ;)  Our video editor is working on it right now, I believe we can post it up next week after some refining here and there!

5. Starting to like photography and Videography! ;)

Recently, I start to like taking pictures and video to share around to people, and to remember that moment of beautiful scenery and memory. Just started using Twitter too. Liked the app because it's full of beautiful pictures  (although some of them are artificial xD).  Hopefully I can make this another useful skill of mine in the future. ;)

6. Lots of To-Do-List for the coming month but I can't fulfill all of them because I am too busy?

Actually that's not really true because I am just bad at time management. :/
But from today onwards, I will start to sort things out and plan ahead so that everything will fall into place. ;)  Need to start taking good care of my health, exercise routines, healthy and balance diet, focus on my studies, spending more time with parents, watching tons of movies, going outdoor to take photos, fully understand and make good use of my phone, play around with Photoshop, Sony Vegas Pro, Audacity, etc.

December is a month that I will definitely look forward to because I know there are many things in store for me to discover and experience! :D
Lastly, before I log out, there is an interesting fact to share:
According to Research, if you tell yourself loudly and sincerely that "Today is going to be a GOOOOD DAY", and you will enjoy the day more because your whole self is positive since the beginning. It worked for me and I like it, Hope it works for all of you too! :D

November Highlights! #PART 1

Time really flies like nobody's business! Half of the November just gone like that!
It's been a really busy and productive November and I expect nothing less for the last few months of 2012! whatever comes on my face, I will kick it out to the space. :p  haha

Anyway, I'm having my mid-term exams very soon and I haven't started studying yet! because I just can't focus before writing something on my blog. here are my November Highlights! It's going to be another long post, please bare with me again xD

1. TVC production:

Recently, I am working on an TV Commercial assignment with my groupmates! we are called the MASKO production, and we are producing our very first commercial during December. We just finished shooting recently, It has been a great time working with them. They are pretty efficient people who really puts effort in whatever they do. Good teammates I found in my class that I can work well with so far. ;)

Got this name from all the initials of our names, every member liked the name ;) hehe

We are making an advertisement for L'Oreal Paris Make up Remover. I experienced it to remove my clown make up and I think it's a good make up remover, it costs Rm23.90.

We got some help from Adrian from Foundation in Design to help us out for clown make up.
We are doing low budget shooting, so we only used poster colour to make up. It would be great if I had proper clown make up paint, but we used poster colour which makes my skin feel kinda uncomfortable. :/

Adrian and my groupmates :)

All my groupmates were quite surprised by the way I act, cause I'm the quite nerdish guy in class, who they never expected me to act as a clown. I had proved them wrong with my awesomeness la! :p  Stay tune for my make-up advertisement here in one month time! :)

2. Deepavali Celebration
I only know a few Indians who celebrated Deepavali and that's my Scout-mate Tirthapada Dasa!  It's a very last minute celebration but it's still very memorable and all Seplanets had a good time just to chill together and chit chat la ;)
I kinda miss the times that I spent with them and I really appreciate the moments that I spent with them. I didn't get to spend much time with them recently, but I'm sure our brotherhood will stay the same :)

Seplanet :)

3. Experiencing Shofar

Recently I went to visit a handcraft shofar business with Adrian from my youth ministry and it's been a good experience to know and understand more about this instrument that has a significant meaning to Catholics and Christians. :)
It's very difficult to find these in Malaysia, this is the only shofar store that I know in Malaysia, even the owner doesn't know other local people who does this local business. ;)

Raw Shofar

Ready to be used!  Those are quite long and nice to blow. Better quality of sound and greater length costs more. Our youth ministry might end up taking the short and cheap one, due to our budget la ;)

I have a few videos on the owner blowing a shofar, but there's something wrong with my phone and I can't transfer it. Anyway, click HERE to see how does a Shofar works :)

I do have more things to blog about but I will save it for the next post, it will be about a Training Camp that I just joined recently at KKB, I will also blog about some of the things that I want to accomplish for the coming few days during this hols! Oh and I'm having my mid-term exams next week and hopefully I can finish editing a video teaser for the coming youth rally that my youth ministry had been preparing for a long time! Wish me goodluck peeps ;)  Goodnight everyone!

Last Week of October

I felt October was so long, but it just past  before even I realize it. Finally have time to reflect back and blog about the significant and interesting happenings around me!
This post might be long, so please bare with me :p

1. I AM A GOD FATHER?

It happened where one of my Dad's friend in church has a grandson and he is looking for some good person to become his god father. I thought it might be cool to become a god dad to a kid, I can play with the kid and attend kid's birthday party. Sounds rather interesting right? xD
After promising to become a god dad, I attended a briefing and I found out there is so many responsibility and things to do. I can't even handle my own stuff properly and now I need to take care of a kid? I AM A GOD FATHER?
In the midst of that,  I still believe people chose me because they trust me that I can do this, so yea, I'm not going to let this child down and I will help his parents to raise him, to become someone successful in the future! Rockstar maybe? :p
So don't be surprise to see me walking to baby stores to buy the baby stuff. haha

Clovis and Me :)

2. OPPA FUELSAVE STYLE!

In conjunction of Shell Fuel Save 95 contest, our School of Communication people had decided to join this contest of finding most effective and creative way to promote Shell Fuel Save 95! Our lecturers and students from School Of Communication had decided to dance Oppa Fuelsave Style and spread the word! It's proud to see the events organized by School of Communication are so happening and attracted so many people to come. Around 500 people gathered around the place just for the dance! Here are some pictures:

Have a look at the video HERE

3. COMM FEST 2012!

Comm Fest 2012! Another event hosted by the School Of Communication, organizing an event all about communication. This year, thy decided to make communication more lively and creative by mixing communication and physical activities. Which is Sociolympics! They had made Facebok, Instagram and various smart phone applications to live! Me and my friends were looking forward for this event and it really didn't disappointed us!

So this is me, finally bought the passport for this event, ready for the fun!

SpaceBall!
This is the thing I liked the most about this event, it was soooooooooooooooo damn fun!
It spins 360 degrees at really high speed! It's even more interesting than any rollar coaster or water sports that you can find! if you ever see this, TRY IT! :D  really no regrets for trying.
Check this video out to see how CANGGIH it is HERE

SumoFight!
I am the red one, and I am really bad at this wei. the guy was strong. He can simply trash my away like  a toy, but still it was fun :P

Facebook Live! :)
Allow students to scribble on the wall, just like facebook. :)

Instagram Live!
There's a booth around it where allows people to take pictures together, just like Instagram :)

I wasn't feeling well after trying the spaceball, cause I played that right after my lunch. Didn't get to play all the other games, but  played the game without regrets. :p

October was really an interesting month for me, full of varieties. Today is the first day of November! just 2 months away until the year ends! I have so many more things to do before I end the year! D:
Thus, I am going to appreciate the coming 2 months, and live the most out of it! :)
Hope everyone will have a happy November too.

Oh before I go, just want to share these adorable pendrives that are sold in my college few days ago. It's also available online @ https://www.facebook.com/usbdrawer. :)  They sell USB drives like no others, very interesting :)   However, it will be viral if it was cheaper and it's made not so fragile.

\

I like the Camera ones! My friend bought one for herself. ;)
